It was back in 1959 when Backer-Facsa S.L. started its commercial trajectory, the society FAC S.A. had been set up in the location of Aiguafreda, 50 kilometers away from Barcelona. Its main activity was manufacturing shielded electrical heating elements to be used for both industrial and domestic applications.

At mid 80's, FACSA had become the biggest national manufacturers who produced heating elements for cloth washers and dish washers. On March 2003, FACSA became part of the group NIBE on its heating elements division, changing its name to Backer-Facsa S.L.

NIBE ELEMENTS leads the market on the north of Europe and is one of the most important electrical heaters manufacturers worldwide. Its mission is to provide with heating components end-user heating systems manufacturers. He provides two kinds of products OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and industry equipment.

The Group Backer develops, produces and trades with electrical heating components and systems. In addition, Backer manufactures and trades seal tubes to other manufacturers. Backer's catalog is made of a huge variety of heating elements and they can be found all over the European market.
